Moral science, the subject for the class of which young students can wait for hours and there are valid reasons to justify that, it has fun stories, teaches morals that the children later apply in real lives and the most important of all, this subject is not evaluated in the exams and is later even removed from the curriculum of higher classes. (Basically after 6th grade)
But do you think that it is right to remove such an important subject in higher classes?
Today we are going to discuss the importance of moral science as a subject and in real life as well.
This subject needs to be taken very seriously
I really mean it when I say it, we need to take this subject seriously otherwise our children can get spoiled, other than we as parents teaching good habits to our children, the school also needs to teach children ethics and morals.
But what academies are doing is taking fees, teachers are getting that fee and in return teaching the students various subjects such as English, mathematics, science, computer science, moral science (just for the sake of it) and Hindi, but this is not the case with us, at Ideal Education Point (New Choudhary Public School), we focus on moral education as equally important as the other subjects.
Morals shape young children into great human beings, as children, we do learn moral sciences, but as we grow up, what moral science taught us is forgotten as the subject is completely removed from the curriculum, educators need to properly teach moral science to children and schools must make it compulsory for senior students as well.
What happens when we do not make any changes?
This is also a very important question, but be warned, you might not like the answer, children go to school to study and parents teach children moral and ethics, but what about children from slums or kids whose parents are so busy that neither the father nor mother can pay attention to the little one, scary right? But we haven’t even considered day boarding school yet.
As a result, kids don’t learn anything beyond the basic subjects and become spoiled adults who have all the bad habits such as smoking and drinking, but at that time it is too late to change, thus crimes increase indirectly because of schools not properly considering moral education, so this makes moral science as mandatory as the other subjects.
What we can do?
We as adults, parents, teachers, and guardians can follow what is trending in 2021, start a petition, a petition is a simple statement written by someone to ask the government to make a law against or to support something, we can simply make a petition for moral science to be a mandatory subject in schools.
We as one of the Best English medium schools in Jaipur have also started a petition for the same, together we can make the country, a nation to be proud of again.
