Talk, talk, talk: – There can be no better way than this to encourage your children, it can even sometimes work miracles with us and it is going to work for your kid.
You can take your child to a therapist, but personally speaking, your child will be more comfortable sharing his problems with you. Talking sessions can also be about simply, your child talking and you listening. The main point here is to create a two-way communication. Self-healing: – Some kids are mature enough to self-understand certain things, if your child is one of those kids, he can get rid of social anxiety himself. All you need to do is give your kid a little push.
You can explain to your child the harmful effects that social anxiety has on mind and body, you can bring him books or videos of anxiety when your child knows how bad anxiety is; he will try to get rid of it himself.
Friendship: – Believe it or not, children are more confident with friends than parents. Thus allowing your child to bring his friends home is the best way to help him get rid of social anxiety.
You might like it, when your child brings his friends home and might be very strict about it, but remember that if he stays alone at home, it is going to do more harm than being helpful. When your child indulges in various activities with his classmates, he is going to become more confident over time.
